Lynn Collins

Lynn Collins, Clerk & Master

 

Lynn Collins was appointed Clerk & Master in September 2022 after having served 20 years with Chancery Court Office. Her last six years she served as Chief Deputy . She is a 1981 graduate of Dickson County High School. Prior to working for Dickson County Government she worked at JC Bradford stock brokerage firm in Nashville for 19 years. She has two children and 3 grandchildren.

Duties of the Clerk & Master

The Clerk & Master’s office deals with all types of civil cases such as divorces, custody, child support, adoptions, worker’s compensation, contracts, debts, and property disputes. The Clerk & Master acts as the principal administrative aide to the Chancery Court, provides assistance in the areas of the courtroom administration and records management, docket maintenance, revenue management, maintenance of  court minutes. The Clerk & Master also has the duty of collection of Delinquent Taxes.

Cases are heard for probate of decedent’s estates and all other related matters to probate, such as claims, exceptions to claims, interim and annual accountings and small estate affidavits.
